A train station forms the setting for this chaotic tale of romance and coincidence. On his way to visit his father in the faraway town of Griboedov, pianist Platon decides to take a break for lunch. But when the food at a Zastupinsk railway station café fails to satisfy him, he refuses to pay, leaving a waitress named Vera in the lurch. Little does Platon know, his actions will come back to haunt him, getting him detained at the station and later accused of a crime he didn't even commit. Platon could also never predict that the waitress he stuck the check with would come back into his life in a series of humorous, unfortunate, and ultimately romantic ways. |
