Of Pakistani origin, Alvira Khan lives a care-free lifestyle in Britain. One day while waiting for a train at Waterloo Station, she shares her table with an East Indian male, Rakesh Thakral. Both have a light discussion with Alvira confiding that she is in love with another East Indian male, Satvinder Singh, a lawyer by profession who rescued her and then represented her successfully against Madame Tussauds, both fell in love and are soon to be married. Rakesh confides that he is in love with Anaida Raza, a Muslim of Indian origin. They subsequently go on their respective ways but are fated to meet again, and this time Alvira introduces Rakesh to Satvinder, and she, in turn, is introduced to Anaida. Complications arise when Satvinder falls in love with Anaida, who is not who she claims to be, and circumstances will reveal that Rakesh and Alvira have been less than forthright with each other.
